Maja Stark made just one bogey during her third round at the U.S. Women’s Open, and now she heads into a major Sunday with the lead for the first time in her career. Here’s how to watch it unfold on Sunday.
Stark opened her third round at Erin Hills birdie-par-bogey, but she played the final 15 holes in two under to shoot 70 and take a one-stroke lead over Julia Lopez Ramirez, who at just 22 years old, had to go through qualifying to punch her ticket to Erin Hills.
Lopez Ramirez shot 68 on Saturday and will join Stark in the final pairing. They’ll tee off at 2:10 p.m. ET on Sunday.
But Stark (seven under) and Lopez Ramirez (six under) will have chasers.
Three Japanese players — Rio Takeda, Hinako Shibuno and Mao Saigo — sit two back at five under, and World No. 1 Nelly Korda, alone at four under, is just three off the lead. Korda has won two majors but is still looking for her first U.S. Women’s Open title.
The final round of the U.S. Women’s Open will be broadcast from 2-7 p.m. ET on Sunday on NBC and Peacock.
You can stream the final round on Peacock or track featured groups on USWomensOpen.com or the USGA app.
